TOBACCO MARASCA OPENS TOBACCO PURCHASE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
In response to a request from outgrowers who need money to fulfill their commitments this year, Tabacos Marasca opened on Monday, 3, the purchase of tobacco from the 2018/19 harvest. As informed by the CEO Moacir Marasca, the purchase will be extended until December 14, and will resume on January 8, 2019. The company’s estimate is to acquire now around 5% of the need. “The producers asked us to and, as the company had the conditions, it opened the purchase,” he stressed.
During this period, the company will not hire temporary employees and the purchase is made by employees. The hiring of temporary workers will take place from January 8th.
